1. How long does a spray tan last?

A spray tan typically lasts between 5–10 days, depending on your skin type, aftercare, and how often you shower or exfoliate. At The Bronze Bar, we use premium solutions designed to give you a long-lasting, even fade.

2. How should I prepare for my spray tan appointment?

Shave, exfoliate or wax 24h before your appointment. Avoid moisturisers, deodorants, or perfume on the day of your appointment, If possible, please come recently showered. Wear loose, dark clothing after your tan to avoid transfer. Its best to not wear underwear or a bra after the tan has been applied as this may create lines and unwanted transfer.

3. What should I wear after my spray tan?

Wear loose, dark clothing like an oversized T-shirt or flowy dress. Avoid anything tight or with elastic bands including bras and or tight underwear. Its best to be barefoot or wear slip-ons on your feet to reduce transfer or lines.

4. Can I get a spray tan if I have sensitive skin or coeliac disease?

Yes! As a girlie with coeliacs disease, we made sure our solutions are skin-safe and gluten-free — perfect for sensitive skin and those with coeliac disease. Just let us know in advance so we can tailor your experience.

5. When should I book my spray tan before a wedding or event?

We recommend booking your tan 1–2 days before your wedding, ball, or special event for the best color development and finish. Bridal trials are also available.

6. Do you offer mobile spray tanning services in Pukekohe or Auckland?

Yes! We offer mobile spray tans in Pukekohe and surrounding areas. You can enjoy a flawless glow in the comfort of your own home. Travel charges may apply outside local zones.

7. Can I exercise or shower after a spray tan?

Avoid exercise or sweating for at least 8 hours after your tan. Your first rinse should be with lukewarm water and no soap. Full aftercare advice is provided post-session.

8. How dark will my spray tan be?

We customise your shade based on your natural skin tone and desired outcome – from a soft glow to a deep, bronzed look. You’ll discuss your perfect colour with your technician during your appointment.

9. Do you offer spray tans for men or teens?

Yes! We welcome all genders and offer tans for school formals, sports competitions, or simply a confidence boost. Parental consent is required for clients under 16.

10. Are your products vegan or cruelty-free?

Absolutely. All of our tanning solutions are vegan, cruelty-free, and ethically sourced. We believe in glowing skin without compromise.

11. When should I wash my hair before my appointment?

If you are getting your hair and makeup done, please wash your hair the evening before your appointment. Please also turn up to your appointment with dry hair. If you turn up with wet or dirty hair, there may be an added charge for a wash and dry treatment before we begin.

12. Should I wear makeup to my makeup appointment?

Please turn up with minimal makeup and moistruised skin. You are welcome to complete your skin care routine before you attend. Any makeup left on the skin will be removed during the appointment.
